How to connect WhatsApp to your AI worker
Connect your business WhatsApp to your AgentIQ AI worker with Meta's quick connection or manually, and add an email mailbox as a second channel.

Your AI worker only serves real customers once it has a channel connected. The main one is WhatsApp, and you connect it with your Meta account, without installing anything.
Where to connect it
There are two places to connect WhatsApp:
- In the onboarding, on the Connect your WhatsApp screen, with the Connect through Meta button.
- On the worker's page, in the The basics tab, Channels section.
If you chose I'll connect it later during onboarding, use the second option.
Before you start
- You need admin access to the business's Meta (Facebook) account.
- Have the WhatsApp number you'll use for the business at hand.
- If that number is already used on another WhatsApp platform, check with Meta first how that will work. This part of the process depends on Meta.
Option 1: quick connection with Meta
This is the recommended way.
- In the sidebar, go to Workers > Team and open your worker.
- Go to The basics > Channels.
- Under WhatsApp, choose Quick connection with Meta.
- A Meta window opens. Log in with the account that manages the business.
- Follow Meta's steps: pick or create the business account and the WhatsApp number, and confirm the permissions.
- When you finish, return to AgentIQ. The channel shows as connected on your worker.
Option 2: manual connection
If you already have an app set up in Meta for Developers and prefer to connect it yourself:
- Open your worker and go to The basics > Channels.
- Choose the manual WhatsApp connection.
- Paste the identifiers it asks for (your account and phone number IDs) and the access token you generated in Meta.
- Save the changes.
This option is for people who already work with Meta's platform. If that's not you, use the quick connection.
Test before going live
Before connecting the real number, or right after, check how your worker answers with the Test chat: a public link where you can talk to it as if you were a customer. Check prices, hours and tricky questions. If something is off, fix it in the manual, as explained in How to write the manual.
Second channel: email
Today your worker can serve customers on two channels: WhatsApp and email. If your customers also write to your email, connect the business mailbox from the worker's Channels tab (under The basics), following the steps on screen. From then on, the worker answers emails with the same rules from its manual.
There are no other channels for now: no social networks other than WhatsApp and no chat for your website.
When the worker can't solve something
With Ask for help (in the What it says tab), the worker hands difficult conversations to a person. Those conversations show up in the Inbox, where your team can reply from Chats.
Next step
With the channel connected, give your worker what it sells: continue with Upload your catalog or menu.
